Adam Page bought the truck for camping. He hasn't been camping in two years. What he has been doing is sitting in his driveway wondering how his marriage turned into a hostage negotiation where the only demand is that he stop having needs.

His wife won't touch him. She won't let him touch himself. She won't talk about it, and she won't stop punishing him for bringing it up. Adam is a grown man in his own house, and he has never felt less at home.

Lauren is the girl next door. She just got back from her first year of college, she needs to pass her driving test, and she thinks Adam's truck makes her feel invincible.

Adam is just being a good neighbor. He's going to drive her to the RMV, wait in the lobby, and bring her home. That's it. That's the whole plan.

It's a lovely little story about a man rediscovering his sense of purpose through small acts of kindness.
